The Best of 2015 | Kent Wedding Photography

So 2015 was a very productive year for me, it enabled me to grow as a photographer and tick off some things off my photography bucket list. I got to go abroad and do my first destination wedding in Spain. My work also got published in a bridal magazine which was completely and utterly amazing and something I have wanted for a long time and 2015 allowed me to have the guts and confidence to go for it.

I also got engaged to my boy no date set though as I am running put of free weekends as 2016 and 2017 look to be my busiest years. I am so bloody excited about it!!

I have selected some images of what I feel are my favourites, but art is open to interpretation and what I like may not be what someone else likes. These images however were chosen based on a lot of things - technical skill, beautiful light, a moment caught on camera but unknown to the couple, love and finally realising a creative idea and seeing a collaboration come together.

I have been slack in updating my blog - a mother of 4, christmas and new year meant my children wanted me all to themselves. I felt so guilty though but loved having my herd with me.

So thank you 2015 for being so cool!

Rianna & James Bateman, Kent Wedding Sneak Peek

Rianna & James got married at a stunning church in Burmash, Kent. James Grandparents also got married at the same church so it was very special to them., followed by a gorgeous reception held at James parents house. The wedding was a very intimate affair with gorgeous poetry by James brother and some very touching, heartfelt moments during the service itself. Both couples were asked to write down their likes and dislikes by the vicar - a really lovely moment as it was a revelation to both couples what they truly felt and actually how well they knew each other. These two were clearly best friends and definitely soul mates. After the service I borrowed them for some bride and groom shots it gave them both some time to take it all in. What I didn't realise was the location I chose for their shots actually had some history to it for James - he grew up playing around in the spot I picked so it was lovely moment. We then headed off to the reception, with big white flags in the front garden blowing in the wind to show guests where to go. It was beach themed created by Rianna :0) fish bowls filled with sand and shells, and placemats all handmade by James it was a real homespun wedding that was true to them. They have this wonderful dog called Toby - Their baby he was simply beautiful and then wedding reception was based around his needs providing a quiet place for him so he could escape the hustle and bustle of wedding guests whenever he wanted. I have to say this was such a relaxed wedding and was full of love. I even got spoilt by James mum insisting I was well looked after - Made my day. Congratulations Rianna & James!
