I met Julie and Mark over a year ago, I popped over to there house to show them my work and albums. Instantly we clicked. Julie is so funny and has a sense of humour that is just like mine. Julie and Mark have Scottish fold cats I have never seen one before, but oh my I am in love! Her youngest cat literally flirted the entire time I was there and played fetch - a cat playing fetch!! Anyway I am so glad they chose me to document their wedding day it was so much fun, bridal prep was very calm with just myself, Julie and the make up artist. After Marina (make up artist) left it was just Julie and I, we had such giggle! Probably the calmest, content bride I've ever photographed during bridal prep. I ask the couple a few questions about the day this is what they had to say:
How did you both meet? In April 2002 in Jumping Jack's Maidstone.
Mark can you tell me how you proposed to Julie? While she was cooking dinner.
What made you guys choose your wedding venue? We knew that Tower House and Canterbury Cathedral Lodges were a nice size for our wedding and fantastic for photo's.
What was your inspiration behind your wedding theme? Just wanted something simple and a country/rustic look seem to suit. Also having this theme kept the costs down.
What was your first song and why? Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol as it has always been one of our favourites (and not too soppy)
If you could give any couples getting married one tip what would it be? Just enjoy your big day and let others do the worrying for you!
